Robo-One is a robot competition category of bipedal humanoid robots usually built with RC Servos as actuators and mounted together with metal (usually of aluminum).

Transformers are amongst us and they are battling to be Number 1. Well they aren’t actually The Transformers, but from the previous post this is a good follow-up with actual combat robots. Welcome to the future of ultimate fighting. K1 was a popular fight club in Japan, but Robot battles are quickly sweeping the popularity and gaining support from fans (nerds like me). Robo-One is a robot competition category of bipedal humanoid robots usually built with RC Servos as actuators and mounted together with metal (usually of aluminum). The first ROBO-ONE contest was held in Japan in 2002 and consisted of an initial judged autonomous “Demonstration” stage, followed by one-on-one matches. In Japan, ROBO-ONE has spawned a whole series of related competitions including ROBO-ONE J, ROBO-ONE Special, ROBO-ONE Grand Prix, and the ROBO-ONE Technical Conference events. ROBO-ONE type contests have been held in several other countries including Korea (official) and the United states (unofficial held by Robogames).
