Halo 3 Recon

Halo 3 Recon

Halo 3 Recon is "a different take on the Halo experience.”

Bungie have release a teaser trailer for highly anticipated new installment in the Halo series, Halo 3: Recon.

Currently there are no official screenshots of the game in action, however Bungie’s Community and PR director, Brian Jarrard, did explain a little about the forthcoming release at the recent Tokyo Game Show.

This version of Halo 3 will be a stand-alone expansion (it will not require the Halo 3 CD) sold at retailers. It promises hours of new single-player actions as well as hours of new multiplayer contents like the Mythic Map Pack (which will also be available as a download in early 2009).

Contrary to what some believe, Recon will not be a squad based game, and the player will not assume the role of the famed Master Chief.

Halo 3 Recon

“[It’s] a side-story campaign in the Halo universe starring a guy who’s not Master Chief…
“Not an indestructible one-man army like the Master Chief “said Jarrard.

Instead the player will become an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (the guys in black armor that turn up to fight alongside you on occasion in both Halo 2 and 3) who’s been inserted into hostile territory.

“ODSTs are fragile and make for a more vulnerable hero than Master Chief…
“He’s one lone soldier in a Covenant-occupied city.”

The game is scheduled for release next fall.

Takes awhile for someone to break the ice and get things going. In one day JubJub I think you made it to the top of the list of commentators ;)

Halo 3 is a sick game and might just be over commented else where on the net.
